Yoga - Breathing Space for Parents (English)
Yoga for parents offers a respite from everyday life, to help regulate stress and find new energy.
Through breathing techniques and carefully selected poses, we first stretch and release the vagus nerve, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, in order to slow down the heart and breathing rates and enter a state of regulation.
We also use dynamic poses, mantra and meditation to stimulate the inner, creative energy (also known as kundalini) and hormones like serotonin and endorphins. Rest between exercises and final relaxation are important parts of the class to integrate the effects of the poses.
This class is designed for both men and women, but is not suited for pregnant women, and women in the first couple of months after birth.
